How business days are counted
The start date is included when it is a selected workday. The final date follows the checkbox above. A date is excluded if it is outside the selected workweek, appears in your custom exclusions or matches an enabled federal holiday.
When adding or subtracting days, the starting date is day zero. ClockSlate moves forward or backward until it has counted the requested number of eligible business days.
Frequently asked questions
Are business days always Monday through Friday?
No. Those are the defaults, but you can select any combination of weekdays for a different schedule.
Are federal holidays the same for every employer?
No. The option uses the standard federal schedule as a planning aid. Private employers, states and organizations may use different calendars.
How are work hours between dates calculated?
Enter hours per workday. ClockSlate multiplies that value by the eligible business-day count; it does not infer shifts, overtime or part-day absences.
